I saw this incredible photo on Pinterest the other day, and I felt compelled (compelled, I tell you!) to put together some lush greenery that might be more achievable in a little apartment like mine. I’ve suddenly fallen deeply in love with Terrariums.. yes, I know I’m waaaaay behind the trend on that one, but these Twig terrariums have provoked the desire in me. Aren’t they lovely?!
It’s Aude here, from heodeza. I’m so thrilled Claire asked me to do a few guest posts here on Fellow Fellow.
Claire and I live pretty much on opposite sides of the planet, but since we spent almost 6 months together in 2001 during a school exchange programme, she has a very special place in my heart. I am so amazed by her creativity and her amazing sense of style. It’s really an honour for me to be here, and I hope you’ll enjoy spending a little bit of time together as much as I will!
There are two things that inevitably draw my attention when I shop: stripes, and soft greys. I am not sure how it exactly works, but they must trigger some kind of deeply rooted love reaction in the bottom of my heart, something almost unnatural. I absolutely cannot resist them. Seriously.
I wear light grey all year round but it looks its best on me when summer comes around and my skin takes a more caramel-y shade. Hmmm: grey and tan. There’s no way I can resist!
I’m going to end the week with something bright. Really bright. Ready?
There’s so much neon around at the moment, particularly pinks (and we all know I love me a bit of neon pink action from time to time), but today I thought I’d put together some inspiration from one of the lesser-appreciated neons.. yellow!
What I wouldn’t give to be sitting at the gorgeous desk right now! It’s so clean and bright.. like taking a breath of fresh air. Isn’t the white/brown/black/mint combination so lovely? I feel calmer just looking at it :)
And here’s a few things I found that could be incorporated into your own look!
I picked these lovlies up at the market the other day.. aren’t they stunning?? I was having a hard time deciding which flowers to purchase (from the hundreds that seem to have appeared overnight for Chinese New Year), when suddenly.. there they were, in all their neon pink glory. Of course that was the end of the discussion, and I took 6 of them home with me (along with a cockroach that decided to make an entrance only after we were safely concealed within the car – and then.. disappeared).
It turns out they aren’t naturally this colour unfortunately.. there was pink dye all over the newspaper they came in, revealing that they’d probably been sitting in buckets of pink water to create this brilliant colour. Oh well.. works for me!
