Lets just say that sometimes I really struggle with just appreciating what I already have. So I made this poster to remind myself to want less, appreciate more… :)
I used the same neon colours that I used in this earlier one.. it’s so striking and I love it!
Can you tell I’m having fun with these layered paper words? :)
Here’s the process: I drew the word, scanned it in, traced it, then cut out the layers on my cutting machine and glued them together. Not entirely handmade, but from start to finish it’s my creation.. and it was fun! :)
Nothing like a bit of layered neon paper to get you going on a Tuesday morning! ;)
Hello Hello is a new song by Missy Higgins :)
Ok, I cheated a bit with this one.. I used the computer to get the text right, I couldn’t help myself. But after that, it was all cut by hand, promise!
I’m thinking maybe I need to relax my computer-related rules with this exercise.. it’s fun sometimes to combine handmade with computer-made :)
The image was found in a book I bought at a market in Germany. The very same book I used to make these little houses by night :)
Lyrics from the John Mayer song ‘Daughters‘. Lovely isn’t it? :)
Thought I’d just keep it simple this week, just using pencil.
