Oh gosh…

February 2, 2015 | Baby, Personal

Have I really not posted anything since August? Unbelievable. Time is f-l-y-i-n-g! It feels like, in a bid to adjust to this incredible job of being a Mum, I’ve put my head down to focus for a few months, and now I’ve stuck my head up again and found it’s already February. February?! Jeez.

The blog has been on my mind a bit lately actually, wondering if I could and should start posting again. To be honest, I’ve been a bit scared to start, because I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to keep it up and I don’t want to commit to something I’m not sure I can deliver on, you know?

Even though the fog of a newborn baby is lifting, and I’m getting more used to life with a little one, I still find there isn’t much time in the day that isn’t taken up by him (naturally!) and I can’t concentrate on anything else when he’s in the room. Work = No way! But I mean really, who could say no to this face :) :)

How do you other Mums out there do it?? Please wise ladies, tell me your secrets!

So here I am. I’m going to start slow and try getting a few more posts out when I can. And I’ll do my best to keep at it. And I apologise to anyone who’s emailed or messaged me in the past few months.. my inbox has been largely neglected and I’m so sorry if I never got back to you! I’ll try and do better from now on :)

PS. Arlo is now 5.5 months old! He’s just started some solids, is able to drag himself around our lounge room (eek!), and is just the happiest little boy ever. We couldn’t love him more :)

My secret? Childcare and/or preschool. You’ll never get anything done without it.

Ahh yes, I can imagine that would help! I guess we’ll be looking at that in a few months time :)

  2. Darling pictures! Welcome back!
(and by the way, little ones do sleep some during the day. Do your most precious things at that time. Do cleaning and cooking when he is awake, he likes to see you move around!!)

Thanks Maryline! I’m learning to prioritise the things I want to get done in those golden napping hours! The house can just stay messy ;)

  3. Julia

Gorgeous! They are little for such a small amount of time, enjoy it while you can! Once nap times become more regular and they sleep through the night you’ll find you have more energy too. Hit Dave up for some quiet time to get a few things done :)

I know hey, they grow up SO fast! I’m loving every minute with him and trying to just soak it all in before it passes me by :) Speaking of growing up quickly – I can’t believe how big your gorgeous curly-haired boy is now! So so beautiful :)

  4. Lily

Nice to see you back! No pressure to make consistent posts though. It’s a pleasure just to see the blog pop up in my reader from time to time. :)

Aw, that’s so sweet – thank you Lily! I’m happy to be back :)

  5. Yeah – you are back! Same situation here – my daughter was born at december 11th and blogging is no longer possible in the way it was before…. still have no secret nor solution but hope to find some soon… all the best – julia
