On beads and bracelets…

May 21, 2012 | DIY, Personal

Happy Monday!

If you were especially attentive a couple of weeks ago, you may have noticed these three bracelets sitting on my desk in this post. They were created using this easy bracelet DIY by Honestly WTF (it’s not a really new DIY, but new to me!), and realised that I had almost everything I needed to make them at home.. so I gave it a go! The only thing I didn’t have was waxed linen.. so I used bakers twine instead :)

A little tip if you want to use bakers twine: because it’s quite thick, beads with a large hole will be required, and it also helps to twist the ends of the string through your fingers with some glue. Once it’s dry, it’s much easier to thread through the beads :)

  1. I love the neutral prettiness of your new pretties!

  2. I’ve had this project on my to do list for a while now and just completely forgot about it. Now you’ve got me itching to make these again.

  3. How ironic! My girlfriends and I had a Pinterest Party the other night and we made these bracelets! Twisting glue on the ends is a crucial part of the craft!

  4. So pretty! I might have to try those myself.

  5. Perfectly cute! I wish I would have saved all of my friendship bracelet supplies from middle school. :)

Thank you ladies! You should definitely give them a go.. they’re so easy! If you need further inspiration, have a look at my friend Aude’s version.. same technique, totally different outcome :)

  7. These are gorgeous, love mixing glam with rustic!
