Don’t you love when you find a gorgeous shop, and then find out it’s actually based in your home town? I do.. for some reason, it gives me a sense of pride. Weird. Anyway.. I came across Drift Gifts the other day, fell in love with their beautiful resin jewellery, and then found out it’s all handmade in Brisbane, Australia! So proud right now.
If you’re anything like me, your handbag is where pens and receipts go to die. You carry around a lot more than you need most of the time (just in case!) and can never find anything. The number of times a day I go on a digging expedition.. seriously it’s like a bottomless pit in there. During my latest purge of all things unnecessary, I thought it might be fun to share what it is exactly that I’m lugging around every day.. and in the future I’d like to continue this theme by asking other people to photograph what’s in their handbag.. you know, just cause I’m a snoop. If you’d like to participate, just send me an email! I’d love to hear from you :)
Here at Fellow Fellow we take pride in being a bit thrifty every now and then.. especially when fashion is concerned. I’ll admit that I do have a couple of pieces in my wardrobe that I probably paid too much for (and I love them accordingly), but there’s nothing quite like getting a bargain.
I’ve therefore enlisted the help of my fashionista friend Mary to help us pull together some outfits on a budget. Using a fashion photo as inspiration, the idea will be to get a similar look for less. First up is this photo from Emerson Made. As much as we LOVE Emerson Made, it’s a little out of our price range (not to mention only in the US). In each of the circles above you’ll find a link to Mary’s picks so you too can have this look, for under $150! Thanks Mare!
Right?? Well, I do anyway! On one of my more recent trips to the stationery store I came across these little gems and couldn’t resist taking them home…
Cute huh? They came in a few different sets, but the little forest animals were my favourites. Unfortunately the store I bought them from doesn’t have an online shop, but you can also find them here (US), and here (UK).
