I make this smoothie for myself nearly every morning, but I never measure anything.. just plonk a bit of this in, then a pinch of that. I actually had to work out the specifics so I could share it with you all!
The lesson here is that you don’t really need to be specific. If you like a bit more peanut butter, add it.. don’t like flax seeds? Leave them out. The only two things that are necessary are milk, and banana (preferible frozen). Although you should definitely add the peanut butter.. it’s pretty good.
Here’s what I put in (makes one large glass):
– Approx. 1 cup almond milk (I go for unsweetened, but sweetened is also yummy)
– A heaped spoon of smooth peanut butter
– 1 tsp flax seed
– 1 tbs oats (sometimes it’s better without oats)
– 10 almonds
– 1 frozen banana (or a fresh banana and some ice)
Method: Put it all in a blender and blend until smooth. It’ll still be a bit chunky, but that’s how I roll.
