Inspired by a spotty Fossil bag

January 7, 2013 | Inspired by...

You’d have to know that anything with “spotty” and “Fossil” in the same sentence would be a winner in my eyes! Yep, I’m in love with this bag.

Isn’t she lovely? AND it even comes in a pale blue and red combination too.. be still my heart.

SO, let’s put it together with an outfit, shall we? I chose to go with a fairly neutral scheme.. I already own a pair of pants in this colour (and adore them) so thought it’d be a good place to start :)

What do you think? What would you wear it with?

Inspired by New Year’s Eve

December 27, 2012 | Inspired by...

Can you believe we’ll be seeing in a new year in just a few days? It’s time to get your party shoes on and let a little glitter into your life! I say that and then will probably be in bed by 10 that night haha. I’m big into Christmas, not so much into New Year.. so, let’s remedy that shall we?

How about some bright, warm colours, hints of gold, and some glitter.. oh, and confetti of course! I even added a gorgeous plum jacket for those of you celebrating in the northern hemisphere ;)

Loving… PAPERFASHION

April 27, 2012 | Loving...

Oh gosh.. I somehow just stumbled across PaperFashion and have spent the last hour going through the blog in complete awe. Katie Rodgers, the creator of PaperFashion, is an incredible watercolour artist and most of her blog and shop are made up of these gorgeous fashion illustrations…

I’ve got some serious insecurities creeping in about my own feeble attempts at watercolour now.. Oh to be able to draw like this!

Here are some of the prints you can buy in her shop.. aren’t they lovely?

You can find PaperFashion blog here, and also Katie’s two shops: here and here.

How’s that for some gorgeous Friday eye-candy? Have a lovely weekend, friends!

Watch +

April 20, 2012 | Miscellaneous

Question: Are you a watch person?

I think I’ve probably owned 4 or 5 watches over the years. They were nice, good quality, good at telling the time, and I was excited when I bought (or was given) each of them. I’ve never owned more than one working watch at any one time though, and never really thought of them as anything more than an object to tell the time. That was, until last year when Dave gave me a New Gent Swatch Watch in all white. It is a very simplistic looking watch, but it’s big, very white and stands out no matter what I wear it with. It isn’t a watch that’s there to blend in, it’s job (apart from the obvious) is to be seen.

And now I’m obsessed.

Everywhere I go, I’m on the look out for my next watch. One watch is great, but a girl needs options, you know?! So I went hunting around the web today to quench my nagging desire. Man, there are some beauties out there! I’ve only posted two here though (paired with some lovely Maison Scotch).. I’ll save the rest for another post :)

one. two. three. four.

Happy weekend!

Loving… J.CREW

April 12, 2012 | Loving...

Ah J.Crew.. my love for you knows no bounds. I’ve been pining after you for so many years, but alas, you never shipped anywhere but to those lucky enough to live in the US.

Until now that is! I heard from my darling friend Mary that you are now shipping worldwide! And if that isn’t exciting enough, shipping is free until the end of April. *sigh* My life is complete. Problem is.. the prices sound so much higher when they’re converted into Singapore Dollars!

I guess the pining will have to continue for a while :)

Out In Style: Honeymoon

April 2, 2012 | Fashion

Hi all!

As you know, I’m currently soaking up the sun on an island – honeymoon style! Naturally that calls for a sunny, beachy fashion post so you can all get in the honeymoon spirit too :)

Here’s two looks I’ve put together that (to me at least) say ‘beach honeymoon’ – relaxed, light, but still chic. Oh how I wish I could own that bikini!

Loving… Scotch & Soda

March 30, 2012 | Guest Post, Loving...

Hoi iedereen!

It’s me again, Aude, from heodeza. Today I greet you in Dutch as this post relates to the beautiful country I currently live in.

Ever since I came across their flagship store in Amsterdam several years ago, I have been deeply in love with Scotch & Soda.

Both their women and men collections make me weak at the knees. If I didn’t also have to spend money on boring things such as rent or food, I’d probably buy more than half of the store every time I step in!

I love their relaxed yet classy feel, the great fabrics and textures they use, and their wonderful attention to detail. Their new Spring & Summer 2012 collection is no exception to the rule.

Photos from Scotch & Soda and Maison Scotch SS2012 lookbooks (Maison Scotch is their women’s collection).

Although Scotch & Soda is a Dutch brand, it’s now available pretty much all around the world. You can find their amazing clothes at all the retailers listed here, and of course, in their webstore too.

Workspace Wednesday 28.

March 7, 2012 | Workspace Wednesday

Happy mid-week everyone!

I arrived back in Australia yesterday, so I haven’t really got a ‘workspace’ to share with you today. Instead I thought I’d show you what I’m wearing…

Isn’t it a fun T-shirt?! I bought it from Uniqlo, who have teamed up with Orla Kiely to create a line of apparel! I personally love it when designers team up with brands I can actually afford.. makes fashion more accessible :)

Here are some of the other designs:

T-shirts available at Uniqlo (although, not all Uniqlo yet by the looks of it).
