Question: What are your favourite iPhone cases?

February 5, 2013 | Art, Design

Late last week I had an email from lovely reader Kaela, wondering whether I had any favourite iPhone cases. Why yes, yes I do!

Quite a few it turns out. I thought you all might like to see them too, and so here we are about to see a rather comprehensive list of the iPhone cases that have tugged at my heart.

Most of these are from my go-to case shop – Society 6, but there’s also a gorgeous one from Fossil (of course), and another from Anthroplogie.

Florals: Into the Wild by Elizabeth Olwen . Painted Floral by Threequalsquare
Floral Heart by Anna Deegan

Animals: Fox by Landon Sheely . Bunny and Bird by Kerri-Ann Hulme
Key-Per iPhone Case by Fossil

Circles: Pebbles by Leah Reena Goren . Color Play 1 by Garima Dhawan
 Rain 2 by Garima Dhawan

Geometric: Moon Flower by Anna Deegan . Winter Stripe by Alice Rebecca Potter
 Atym by Spires

Feminine: Biscotti & Vanilla by CMcDonald . Sparkle Stripe by Social Proper

Thanks for the question Kaela! And for everyone else – if there’s ever anything you’ve wanted to ask me, shoot through an email and I’ll do my very best to answer it for you (either privately via email, or here on the blog)!

{Freebie} iPhone Wallpapers

May 24, 2012 | Freebies

I was looking around for a new iPhone background again the other day, but couldn’t find much that I liked. I’m always attracted to all the bright, colourful, lively backgrounds out there.. so I download them, apply them to my phone, and about 5 minutes later.. change it back to something muted and simple. Why? Because apparently I can’t stand looking at too many things at once! I always feel like the Apps are competing against the background, and it all just hurts my eyes.

SO. I thought.. why not make my own? And so I did! Here they are.. 3 not-too-crazy backgrounds for your use, should you find yourselves wanting a change too.

I’ll try and create some new ones every now and then.. it was really fun! I hope you like them :)

To install them on your phone:

1. Click and hold your finger over the image you want to use.
2. Click Save Image.
3. Now navigate to your Camera Roll, find the image and select ‘Use as Wallpaper’. Choose whether you want to set the home screen, lock screen, or both.. and you’re done!

Loving… Society6

November 14, 2011 | Loving...

Ok, so you know how a couple of weeks ago I was trying to jazz up my iphone screen? Yeah well then I went looking for a case to jazz up the outside, and really couldn’t find much that got me excited. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places. Actually, now I know I was looking in the wrong places. Enter Society6. I came across this shop from their inclusion in Gifted Magazine, and wish I’d seen it before I bought my OK-but-not-awesome case!

Loving… Poolga

Are any of you Mac lovers out there fans of Poolga too?

I came across them a few years ago when I was looking for some better free iPod wallpapers, and just re-discovered them when I went to do the same thing with my new (and early) birthday iPhone! They collaborate with established and up-and-coming artists to create some of the most gorgeous wallpapers I’ve seen, so do go check them out if you’re looking for a way to make your ipod even more pretty to look at.
