Hah, who needs to buy kraft boxes when you can stay up half the night making them?! The things I do for DIY ;)
Also just on a more serious note, have you seen the news about the Philippines? It’s devastating to watch it unfold on the news, seeing the death toll keep rising and people going without food and shelter. If, like me, you’d like to help out in some way but aren’t sure how, have a look at this gorgeous print from Happy Hands Project.
Pauline is kindly selling an instant download of her hand-drawn artwork, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Philippine Red Cross. Head to Happy Hands Project to get one for yourself, and help get supplies to those that need it most right now.
Yippeeeee! Look what just arrived a couple of days ago…
Mmmmm… kraft and metallic gold. I’ve been itching to see how these would turn out ever since I sent them off, and finally I’ve got them in my hot little hands (literally – look at my creepy hand in that photo below!). They really didn’t disappoint, I can’t stop turning them around and ooo-ing over the gorgeous metallic-ness.
They look lovely in real life, but I struggled a little to capture the gold in the photos, so you’ll just have to imagine :)
So it appears that I somehow managed to forget Workspace Wednesday last week! I even had the post ready to go the night before, and then just clean forgot to post it. Sorry ’bout that. So today you’re going to get a double dose of W.W.
First – this was what I was up to last week.. making some little men for a dear friend :)
Aaaannd this week.. I’m being slightly less productive in the crafting department, and much more productive in the stuffing-my-face department. It’s Chinese New Year time again, which of course means these delectable pineapple tarts are back on the shelves. Last year I made my own, but this year I decided to try buying them from a recommended baker down the road.. they’re delicious!
I sat down a few days ago to start sketching ideas for the letter ‘C’. I decided I wanted something curly and loose. In the end, I came up with the result in the photo below, but I’m not 100% happy with it. It’s lacking something.. some punch maybe. What do you think? Maybe I’ll have to try this one again sometime.
Cutting out lots of little letters! Details next week :)
