Weekend That Was (02-03.02.13)

February 4, 2013 | Weekend that was

Good morning! Hard to believe the weekend has gone again already hey!

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty relaxed… we had a movie night and BBQ on Friday, followed by some work and a nice long walk (9km!) on Saturday. Sunday was going to be spent by the beach, but it ended up raining the entire day. Booooo.

These photos are mostly all from the walk we did – isn’t it beautiful? We even saw a big monitor lizard at one point. The last photo (bottom right) was the view from my studio on Sunday afternoon.. Good day to be inside I think! What did you get up to?

{Freebie} Garden Wallpapers

November 8, 2012 | Freebies

Hey there lovely readers! I think it’s time for another freebie, don’t you?

How about some desktop wallpapers, this time featuring the work of an incredible and amazing photographer? ey, ey? Yeeaahh ok, they’re by me. But I love these photos, they make me happy. For some unknown reason over the past month or so, I’ve been craving the outdoors. Like.. living a more simple life on a beautiful property.. Wide green fields, a forest, vege gardens, wild flowers.. aahhhh. There’s my happy place right there. I’m not even sure this place exists, but in my head it’s amazing.

Anyways, I took these photos in a friend’s garden in Germany and for the time being they’re fending off the cravings. All you have to do is set one as your background, then take a deep breath and smell the fresh grass, the delicate roses, the lavender…  :)

Weekend that was (01-02.09.12)

September 3, 2012 | Personal, Weekend that was

Happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing weekend, I know I did :)

In case you’re interested, here’s what I got up to:

- My weekend officially started on Friday afternoon when I met up with a friend at a super cute coffee shop called Group Therapy.. both coffee and company were fab :)
- The weekend weather was really clear and sunny, so Dave and I ended up doing quite a lot of walking.. first to the park (where I spotted the awesome blue apartments in the photo above), and then we did half a hike we’ve done a few times before.. but had to stop because it was just.too.hot. We were melting!
- Sunday was a beautiful, lazy day spent with some friends, eating, drinking and chatting the afternoon away. A perfect Sunday really! Unfortunately I was all too casual about the shifting sun and ended up getting quite burnt.. oops!

Such a great weekend! Too bad it had to end.. oh well, here’s to a great week ahead.. :)

Photo Walkabout 24.06.12

June 22, 2012 | Singapore

Hi again everyone!

One last thing before I head off for the weekend… unfortunately this one will only apply to anyone out there reading in Singapore.

This Sunday (24th June) Dave and I will be heading to the Arab Quarter for a bit of an explore (like when I went exploring Little India, or Geylang), and thought it might be fun to open the invitation to anyone else who’d like to join. The idea will be to bring along a camera (doesn’t matter whether it’s a big digital, point-and-shoot, or film – no discrimination here!) and your walking shoes, and be ready to explore. It will be extremely casual and relaxed, with no set route or timeframe.

Note: We’re not professional photographers by any means, we just like to have fun with it so there won’t be any pressure to take awesome photos or anything! :)

If you’re at all interested, feel free to send me an email (or leave a comment below) so I can fill you in on the finer details (meeting point etc), and also so I can contact you in the case of bad weather on the day.
