I’m probably the only person on earth who hasn’t quite embraced the calendar on my phone.. I feel like I’m stuck in the dark ages because I just don’t get it. It doesn’t feel intuitive to me and I feel silly that it’s managed to dupe me. Surely I can’t be the only one?! I just prefer good old pen and paper. So, in a bid to become a little more organised (as per this post) and to keep track of playdates and appointments, I’ve created a free weekly planner that can be printed out, stuck on the wall and written on as things come up.
I decided to break it up into Morning, Lunch, Afternoon, and Evening (as that’s just how my day seems to be segmented at the moment with Arlo) and have left the cells big so it allows for plenty of writing room. Even though I use it more as an activity calendar, you could also use it as a meal planner, or a to-do list for each day.. whatever you like, really!
Here it is in action, taped to our kitchen wall. Also note Arlo’s spectacular red Chinese lantern for Chinese New Year. Best looking lantern I’ve ever seen.. #childprodigy #modestmum
So if you haven’t really fallen in love with your digital calendar either, I hope you’ll find this printable version useful :) I’ve made it in both A4 and Letter. Enjoy!
Ah business cards. I haven’t updated mine for quite some time, so when I realised I was going to be needing some later this week, I figured I’d better get on it! Previously I’d just printed them myself, but this time I thought I’d go pro and actually get them professionally printed. So I designed them and handed them off to the printer last week. So excited!!
Unfortunately though, it looks like they won’t be ready until next week, so I’m going to have to stick with self-printed cards for the time being. Not to worry, I think they still turned out ok :)
Once I’d finished them I was looking around my studio wondering what I could put them in to take them with me, and guess what my eyes landed on? Yep.. such a handy little pouch, the cards fit perfectly! :)
I think these prints are so much fun! Wouldn’t they look great in a kitchen? I especially love that they’ve got a screen printed look to them… the big blueberry poster is my favourite :)
There are loads more goodies from Anek in her shop, so do head over there and have a look around!
And on that pretty note, it’s time to sign off for the weekend. Do you have any plans? I don’t think we’ll be doing much… I’ve got a craft party to attend, and some work to catch up on. Maybe also a quick trip to the beach at some point if the weather permits :)
Hope you have a good one!
There’s nothing quite like a good saying paired with simple graphics.. and these prints by Minna May hit the nail on the head for me! Aren’t they lovely? I adore the handwritten pencil and sweet colours..
You can get your hands on these prints and more in Minna’s Shop, and while you’re at it check out her gorgeous blog too.. it’s chock full of all sorts of lovely inspiration! What a nice way to see in the weekend ;)
Have a good one friends. x
I just wanted to leave you today with two beautiful photos that caught my eye this week. These are test letterpress prints of laser-cut wooden letters, made by the lovely Sabrina of Small Caps. Aren’t they great? Sabrina makes such beautiful and unique prints from her studio in Berlin, I just had to give her a mention here! :)
She has a shop full of amazing goodies, a blog, and even an Atelier that you can visit on Tuesdays and Thursdays if you’re in Berlin! Here are two of my favourites from her shop:
Find the ‘Travel Notebooks’ here, and the ‘abcdefg print’ here. :)
Isn’t that a great way to end the week? I hope you all have a great weekend! x
