Hi there friends! Happy Monday to you :) How was your weekend?
We had a very relaxed couple of days that involved a nice long walk around Labrador and Harbor Front on Saturday, and a really lovely beach picnic with friends at Tanjong Beach on Sunday. I must admit I’m not normally a big beach person (my skin doesn’t like the sun much!) but this was so relaxed, lounging around on a blanket in the shade, listening to the music coming from Tanjong Beach Club and munching on yummy picnic food. I somehow still managed to get burnt on my face, even though I was in the shade the whole time. Haha *sigh* :)
Mmmmm mango. One of my most favourite fruits, ever.
My nose found these babies before my eyes did as I was wandering the supermarket aisles the other day.. and the taste didn’t disappoint either! Delicious. Normally I only really see the smaller, not-as-sweet mangos around these parts (also nice, but different to the ones we get in Australia), so was very excited to get my hands of a couple of these! They were labelled as Thai R2E2, and were almost as good as Kensington Prides – almost. :)
Ahh, such a great weekend! How was yours?
We had a really good friend of ours staying with us for a few days last week, which was wonderful! I got to play guide and spend some precious time with her exploring Singapore, shopping, eating the most amazing cupcakes, and chatting like only girls can. It was amazing, and has really made going back to reality a little bit difficult today! Miss you already Em!
PS. If you’re in Singapore and hankering for a little something sweet – Plain Vanilla’s Cupcakes are to die for!
Happy Easter Monday guys! How was your weekend? We were lucky enough to have Friday off here, but not Monday so it’s just business as usual here today :)
I could really get used to having 3 day weekend, how great is it? By Saturday afternoon we were both convinced it was Sunday already, so imagine our bliss when we could keep reminding ourselves it was only Saturday! Best feeling ever.
It’s Dave’s Birthday today (Happy Birthday Hubby!), but because he’s back at work now, we decided to celebrate it last Friday instead with a walk in the park (and ended up melting, it was so hot!), playing his new gift (a guitar) and ended with a delicious ramen dinner out and walk around Marina Bay. Wonderful! :)
The rest of the weekend was spent at the National Museum of Singapore wandering the galleries and checking out the latest Public Garden Market, taking a nice early morning hike, and devouring a yummy beer and Chinese dinner. Yummo!
Fab weekend, let’s do this again! :) What did you get up to?
Morning all! So far today the sun is shining and looks like it’s going to be a lovely, hot day here in Singapore! How was your weekend?
We actually didn’t get up to much at all until Sunday afternoon when 2 friends arrived from Australia for a visit. We ended up heading out to our favourite bar (Bar Stories) in Haji Lane where they don’t have a menu and will make up cocktails for you based on your taste preferences.. they were delicious! We then followed that up with a dumpling feast at one of our other favourite spots. What a great end to the weekend :)
I hope the sun is shining where you are today too :)
