As promised, I’m back with some photos from our trip back to Germany!
For those who don’t know, before moving to Singapore we lived in the South-West corner of Germany for 3 years, and this was the first time I had been back since we left exactly one year ago. Honestly, I don’t think we could have picked a more beautiful time of year to go back. Even though it’s Summer in Singapore all year round, I really miss the European summers.. amazingly long evenings, perfect sunsets, green rolling hills.. Aaahhh that right there is my happy place.
It certainly helps that we were staying with some wonderful friends who have the most beautiful vineyard view from their back balcony and the greenest grass I’ve ever seen. Seriously, it was only the fact that someone might see me that stopped me from rolling around in it like a dog… I’m that refined.
We were also lucky enough to squeeze in a weekend trip to Zürich to meet up with some very dearly missed friends, and had lunch at one of our all-time favourite restaurants there, Maison Blunt. It’s like, Morocco meets Cottage.. if that’s even possible. Think delicious Moroccan food in a really quaint space with old wooden tables, miss-matched chairs, vases of roses, and an awesome tiled floor. Highly recommended if you ever find yourself in the area (be sure to book though!). :)
Ahh, sometimes I really miss living in this part of the world. What a great trip :)
